Atte gond ke laddu

Today's recipe is very common sweet which is prepared in each family. This is Atte Gond ke Laddu. Laddu is a much beloved traditional Indian sweet. It is a favourite of both the old and the young. Atte gond ke laddu is a winter special recipe. These laddus are rich in calories but still nutritious as they are packed with the goodness of almonds, cardamom and gond (edible gum ).Gond has a lot of medicinal value. Gond helps to keep warm during winters. It is also good for bone health . They are really good for winter breakfast with a cup of hot milk. Make these for the upcoming winter season and feed your family for their good health. Here is how to make Gond Laddu recipe.

Preparation time - 10 min
Total time - 1 hour
Ingredients -
Wheat atta - 500 gm
Ghee - 400 gm
Raisins -50 gm
Almonds - 50 gm
Cashews - 50 gm
Dry coconut - 50 gm
Gond - 100 gm
Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Chirongi - 20 gm
Powered Sugar - 500 gm
Method of preparation -
1.Grate dry coconut.
2.Heat a pan and add 100 gm ghee in it.
3.Roast almonds and cashews in it.
4.After roasting the nuts fry gond in it and keep aside all the nuts and fried gond.
5.Heat a heavy bottom pan at medium flame and put wheat flour and ghee in it.
6.Reduce the flame and stir continuously the flour and roast well till it becomes golden brown.
7.Off the flame and let the mixture cool.
8.Chop almonds and cashews in small pieces.
9.Crush the fried gond in small pieces.
10.Transfer the cooled mixture in a big plate and add chopped nuts, raisins, grated dry coconut, cardamom powder and sugar in it.
11.Mix thoroughly with hands and make small spherical laddu from it.
12.Gond Laddu are ready.
Things to remember -
1.Any dry fruit of your choice can be added.
2.Dry ginger powder can be add for flavour and for health.
3.Fry gond very well otherwise it will stick to the tongue.
4.The self life of the laddus is 1-2 month so it is better to consume laddu within 2 months.
