Yellow Peas Chaat / Yellow Matar Ki Chaat

Today's recipe is healthy and oil free chaat of yellow peas (matar). Yellow Peas Chaat is a very good option for breakfast or evening snack. It is very tasty and healthy. It is a low fat starter and a great replacement for deep fried snacks. It is fat-free, rich in protein and healthy snack for everyone. It tastes so yummy that even those children, who don't like to eat vegetables love to eat it.This chaat can be prepared very easily within no time. It is delicious and satisfying snack besides healthy and low fat.It is a power packed recipe and can be used in the breakfast. You can also flavour it according to your choice of ingredients and you can really innovative in making this recipe such as spicy, sweet or tangy.

Ingredients -
Yellow Peas - 200 gm
Boiled potato - 1
Tomato - 1
Onion - 1
Green chilli - 1
Lemon - 1
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Roasted cumin powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Chaat masala - 1/4 teaspoon
Red chilli powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Green chutney (coriander chutney)
Method of preparation -
1.Boil yellow peas in cooker for 10 minutes.
2.Cut potato, onion, tomato and green chilli in small pieces
.
3.Grind roasted cumin seeds.
4.Take a large bowl and put boiled peas in the bowl.
5.Add salt, black pepper powder, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder and red chilli powder in it.
6.Mix well and transfer the peas in a serving bowl.
7.Put onion, potato, tomato and green chillies on it.
8.At last put green chutney over it.
9.Yellow peas chaat is ready to serve.
Things to remember -
1.Yellow pea chaat should be consumed when it is fresh, otherwise, it may smell bed.
2.All ingredients should be fresh, otherwise chaat will not be tasty.
3.Green chutney can be made with coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger, garlic and chillies.
