Beetroot Halwa

Welcome on my blog Khaana Khazana Tasty with a new recipe Beetroot Halwa. It is very simple and easy to cook recipe. If you like to eat beetroot then this recipe is very beneficial for you. I have already share with you many recipes of beetroot. I made raita, dry vegetable with peas and  soup of beetroot. So today I decide to make halwa of it for taking different taste of beetroot. All of you know that the beetroot is very good for health but this recipe is quite rich because dry fruits and ghee is used in making it.  You can reduce the amount of  ghee and dry fruits if you preparing for any patient.
The taste of halwa is similar to halwa of carrot.
So let us come to the recipe without taking much time.

Preparation time -10 min
Cooking time -30 min
Ingredients -
Beetroot - 500 gm
Sugar - 50 gm
Full cream milk - 750 ml
Pure ghee - 50 gm
Cardamom - 5-6
Dry fruits - according to choice





Method of preparation -
1.Wash and peel beetroots.
2.Grate beetroots.


3,Grind sugar with cardamom.


4,Boil milk.
5.Heat a heavy bottom pan and put 1 teaspoon ghee in it.
6.Put beetroot in hot ghee and saute for 5 minutes.


7.Add hot milk in beetroot and stir continuously.




8.Reduce milk and  add extra ghee in halwa.
9.Fry halwa till all milk evaporates.


10.Add sugar and dry fruits in halwa.


11.Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
12.Beetroot halwa is ready.
